A Contributing Life: the 2013 National Report Card on Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, just released by the National Mental Health Commission, discusses MHiMA’s recently released report on research and evaluation and the findings of other research with immigrants, originally from India, West Africa, Greece and former Yugoslavia, now living in Australia. The report also includes a Greek-Australian mother’s account of caring for two adult children, briefly discusses good culturally responsive mental health practice and identifies some of the issues, important for CALD communities, that are currently not well understood.
